He aquí una lista de malos hábitos o prácticas que pueden ocasionar que tu perro desarrolle comportamientos no deseados.
Acariciarlo mientras tiene miedo. Eso solo le comunicará que estar asustado es lo correcto y que tu lo estás premiando por eso.
Darle probaditas de comida. Puede derivar en que tu perro se vuelva “caprichoso” para comer y rechace sus croquetas. También puede dañar su salud.
Usar su nombre antes o después de un correctivo. ¡Max, NO! Eso hará que relacione su nombre con un regaño o una mala experiencia y cuando quieras que acuda a tu llamado, pensará que algo hizo mal.
Permitirle que brinque sobre ti o se suba a tu regazo mientras estás sentado. Tu perro no entenderá por qué contigo si lo puede hacer y con las visitas no.
Darle “chance” hoy de que muerda la pantufla, pero mañana “mejor ya no”. Un perro necesita reglas claras y consistentes. No lo confundas.
Corregirlo con una letanía en lugar de una sola palabra. Funcionará mucho mejor y a tu perro le quedará claro que hizo algo mal si le dices solamente NO, en lugar de “¡Qué hiciste! Te dije que no, pero no haces caso. Vas a ver si vuleves a voltear el bote de basura… bla bla bla.” De nuevo te aconsejamos : ¡No lo confundas!
